What we collect

Signing the Voter Pledge requires your name, email address, and ZIP code. Nothing else. We don't ask for your phone number, your address, or your party registration.

The Submit a Plank form collects a nomination: a one-sentence outcome, the exact mechanism, and links to polls. It also takes an email address, but only if you choose to add one. The form does not collect your name.

Why we ask for a ZIP code

ZIP codes enable future district-level organizing, so we can eventually tell you, and your representative, how many of your neighbors have signed. That's the only reason we collect it.

How the signature form works

The form sends your name, email address, and ZIP code to our signature pipeline, which runs on n8n. The pipeline stores your signature and sends you one confirmation email through Resend. A signature counts only after you confirm it from that email.

The signer count on the home page is a live total. The page asks the pipeline for the number. That request sends no name, email address, or ZIP code, and the page shows the total only.

What we never do

We never sell your information, and we never give it to political campaigns, data brokers, or advertisers. The services named on this page handle it only to run the pledge. We don't run ad pixels of any kind on this site, and we don't run analytics. There's nothing here for anyone to buy.

Email

We send one confirmation email when you sign, and we may send updates about Plank ratification and major milestones. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing never deletes your signature. Your signature and your subscription are two separate things.

Fonts

This site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so when a page opens, your browser requests font files from Google. Google receives your IP address with that request.

Nominations

Nominations submitted through the Submit a Plank form are stored and may be published in funnel statistics without the nominator's name. If a nomination is rejected, the failing test is named in public. The form asks you to agree to this before you send anything.

If you add an email address, we use it to reply about that nomination and for nothing else. It is never published, sold, or shared. You can ask us to delete it.

Share buttons and links to other sites

After you sign, the confirmation page offers buttons that open X, Threads, Bluesky, and Facebook in a new tab with a post ready to send. We send those sites nothing until you press a button. Once you do, that site's own privacy policy applies. The email button opens your own mail program. The social icons in the footer of every page link to our accounts on other sites, and those sites have their own policies too.

Deletion

You can request full deletion of your signature and contact information at any time. We honor every deletion request, no questions asked, no delay for "processing." Contact us through the method listed in the FAQ to request it.

Security

Your data is stored with a standard managed database provider, protected by that provider's access controls. The pipeline and email services named above also handle it while they run the form and send the email.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the change will be dated and the previous version will remain available on request. We won't quietly loosen this policy after the fact.
